Plumbworld ‘Beef Up’ Their Customer Support Team

Plumbworld.co.uk Customer Support Increases

(PRWEB UK) 4 December 2011

As recent Plumbworld news has depicted, they are constantly expanding (so much so, new premises were needed) and due to this, sales of showers and various other products have also increased quite dramatically. This chain reaction has inevitably lead to more strain being put on customer relations and due to this Plumbworld has acted quickly to recruit and train new staff. The new customer support staff consists of individuals with relevant experience in the field of dealing with customers previously and therefore have been brought up to speed with current processes and procedures extremely quick.

To combat this rise in sales and future increases the amount of people recruited exceeds what is currently needed; however, this will pay off in the future and will also currently benefit customers with more staff on hand to help.

James Hickman, Managing Director at Plumbworld was happy enough to comment on the new recruits: “The business has grown dramatically over the last couple of years and continues to do so; this obviously requires staffing levels to adjust to accommodate that. Although the customer support staff we currently employ are brilliant, it’s impossible for them to spend adequate time helping every customer with their queries. As we don’t want to ‘cut corners’ anywhere in the business and retain our excellent level of service, 4-5 experienced customer support helpers have been recruited. This will reduce the high level of stress customer support is currently under and provide breathing space and a lot more time for individual customer queries – this will result in even quicker replies and addressing of any customer queries in a minimal amount of time.” Mr. Hickman continued on to say: “It will also benefit us in the long run as sales continue to increase, we will have the foundation of a robust, experienced support team to help ensure customer satisfaction remains at an all time high; this will always be our focus, regardless of how the business expands”.

This sounds to be only promising news from the online Plumbing giant who sell everything from Mira showers to a wide range of plumbing supplies.

A new recruit to the customer support sector commented: “Although we’ve been thrown in at the deep end with learning new processes and procedures, the role appears to be very rewarding as the satisfaction of helping customers is amazing. Despite some queries being trivial, there are some which are hard to deal with and these are the best as we can apply our knowledge, (which will only continue to increase as we get more experienced), to assist the customer with a detailed answer to their questions.”

Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman and was later sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, they now employ over 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and turnover close to £20 million a year. The Plumbworld Empire expands month by month with new additions to staff and websites; the current website count sits at 50+ with more in the pipeline. The websites vary hugely and specialise in anything from screwdrivers and barbecues to bathrooms and pillar drills.
